Pricing
Simple pricing. Every plan books appointments.
Three plans, metered in minutes rather than calls. Real-time Google Calendar booking sits in all three, and so does the free test drive that lets you hear her long before a card is asked for.

What does Heyline cost, and what is included?
Three plans, billed monthly or yearly: Starter is $99 a month for 200 minutes, Growth $199 for 500, Scale $499 for 1,500. Real-time Google Calendar booking is in all three. Going live starts a 14-day trial with 60 minutes included, and building her costs nothing.
The unit is a minute of conversation — not a call, not a caller, not a booking. A two-minute booking spends two minutes. That is the whole meter: no per-call fee, no charge for a message she takes, no setup fee, no rental on the number she answers.
Further down, those rates sit beside what two live answering services publish for answered minutes. Both were read on September 2, 2026 from the pricing page each company publishes. Competitor pricing moves, so the date travels with the number and the source is linked beside it.
The monthly figure buys the whole product, not a slice of it: a dedicated number she answers on, real-time booking into your Google Calendar, a transcript and a two-line summary of every call, and the recap email that follows it.
What is in each plan?
The nine rows the plans are actually sold on. Booking is the one most people expect to find behind a higher tier.

Prices in USD. Yearly is billed once and works out to two months free. The 14-day trial runs on whichever plan you pick and includes 60 minutes — about 25 calls.

How do the minutes work?
A minute is a minute of talking. Starter includes 200 of them a month, Growth 500 and Scale 1,500, and on Growth and Scale that allowance is one pool the whole account draws from. Nothing here is unlimited, and nothing is estimated — the meter is the clock.
An email reaches you at 80% of your included minutes. At 100% a $10 top-up adds 20 more on its own, with a receipt emailed, repeating for as long as the month keeps going — the same $0.50 a minute Starter already runs at. Every top-up is the same $10 step, so an unusual month climbs in increments you can see coming, and she does not go quiet mid-month by accident.
There is no cap until you set one. If that open end bothers you, set a monthly top-up cap. At the cap she pauses: the line answers with a short, not-billed notice instead of dead air, and comes back when the period resets or you raise the cap. Top-up minutes belong to the period you bought them in.
When does a card come into it?
Not while you are deciding. Building her from your website, editing everything she knows, and talking to her in your browser are free, and need no account and no card. There is no live number in that half of the product, so there is nothing to bill. Editing costs nothing either: change her services, hours, greeting or voice as often as you like, then talk to her again for free.
The card arrives at go-live. You choose a plan, put a card on file, and a 14-day free trial starts on that plan with 60 minutes included — about 25 real calls, answered on a dedicated number. It becomes the plan you chose unless you cancel first.
Two honest details. Your plan's business limit applies during the trial, so a Starter trial covers one business — Growth and Scale hold more. And if the 60 minutes run out before day 14, you are asked whether to start the plan you picked early.
What does that work out to per minute?
Divide each plan by its minutes and Heyline works out at $0.50, $0.40 and $0.33 a minute. The only fair place to hold that up is against services that also sell answered minutes: people who pick up the phone, and the AI sold alongside them.
Ruby is the incumbent and it earns the difference. Its receptionists are people, live on the line around the clock every day of the year, in English or in Spanish, and a person copes with the caller no script covers — the confused one, the angry one, the one asking something nobody wrote down. Every Ruby tier carries the same feature set, and porting your published business number to Ruby costs nothing.
Abby Connect (Abby) folded AI into a twenty-year human service instead of selling it separately. A single pool of Abby Minutes covers both, and their AI can pass a caller to one of Abby's own receptionists partway through the call — Heyline has no person to pass to. Abby states that booking sits on every plan, as it does here.
The table is plain arithmetic on their published numbers: the monthly price divided by the minutes that price includes.
How does that compare with a live answering service?
Two services that publish both a price and the minutes it buys, so the division below uses only their own figures.
| Service | Published price | Per included minute |
|---|---|---|
| Heyline Starter | $99/mo for 200 minutes | $0.50 |
| Heyline Growth | $199/mo for 500 minutes | $0.40 |
| Heyline Scale | $499/mo for 1,500 minutes | $0.33 |
| Ruby, answered by people | Four tiers, $250 for 50 minutes through $1,725 for 500source, checked | $3.45–$5.00source, checked |
| Abby Connect, human minutes | Four tiers, $165 for 50 Abby Minutes through $1,380 for 500On abby.com/signup the same plan prints as $164.source, checked | $2.76–$3.30 per Abby Minutesource, checked |

Prices in USD. Competitor figures were read from each company's own pricing page on September 2, 2026 and divided by the minutes those pages include. Ruby's minutes are answered by people. Abby Connect sells one pool of Abby Minutes covering human or AI answering and publishes no separate AI price list.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a card to try Heyline?
No. Building her from your website, editing her notes and talking to her in your browser cost nothing and need no card and no account. A card is only asked for at go-live, when you choose a plan and the 14-day trial starts. Nothing you build is thrown away when you do sign up — she carries over with everything she has learned.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
She keeps answering. An email warns you at 80% of your included minutes. At 100%, a $10 top-up adds 20 minutes automatically with a receipt emailed, repeating as the month needs it. Set a monthly top-up cap if you want a ceiling — at the cap the line pauses rather than billing on.
Is there a per-call charge?
No. Heyline is metered in minutes of conversation, never in calls, callers or bookings. A 40-second call that ends in a booked job and a four-minute one that ends in a message both draw their real length from the same allowance. There is no setup fee, no charge for the number she answers on, and no separate fee for a booking she makes.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No. Included minutes reset at the start of each billing period, and what you did not use does not carry forward. Top-up minutes behave the same way: they are good for the period you bought them in and expire at the reset. Finishing most months well under is a sign you are on the wrong plan.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
You can move between Starter, Growth and Scale. One subscription covers the account, and the tier you land on sets the minute allowance and the business limit from then on. Minutes already spent stay spent. Yearly plans are billed once for the year rather than month by month.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes, on every plan, and it is two months free: $990 a year for Starter, $1,990 for Growth, $4,990 for Scale — which is $82.50, $165.83 and $415.83 a month. The toggle above the plan cards swaps which figure leads, and both prices are printed on this page whichever way the toggle is set, so you never have to click to see the other one.
How do I cancel?
Cancel inside the 14-day trial and you are not charged. After that, cancel anytime. Deleting a receptionist is a separate action with separate rules: it permanently removes that business and everything stored for it, releases its number and frees the plan slot right away, but it does not refund, prorate or change your subscription.
What does concierge setup include?
It is the Scale tier's headline row: we get on a call and build and tune her with you, rather than leaving you alone with the editor. Starter and Growth stay self-serve — the same receptionist, built from your website in about sixty seconds and edited in plain words whenever a caller asks something new.
Hear her first. Choose a plan after.
The test drive costs nothing and needs no card. Pick a plan only once you have heard how she answers your callers.
