What she does, and what she never does
Twelve things your AI receptionist does, from reading your website to writing up the call. Booking is on every plan; minutes, recording and history are what change.

What does Heyline actually do on a call?
She answers your business line within two rings, greets the caller as your AI receptionist, answers from what your website taught her, offers real openings from your Google Calendar and books one — or takes a name and number when she can't help. Then she emails you the recap.
The order below follows the call itself.
It matters because the phone is where the job is won. In the trades, only 42% of the calls that come in end up booked (ServiceTitan platform data, 3,000+ US/CA trade shops, 2022), and for a shop under five technicians the figure is 24% (ServiceTitan, 2022). One more call moved from missed to booked is what every feature below is for.

When your AI receptionist can't answer, she takes a message — name, number, the whole question — and opens a call-back to-do you clear in one tap.
Read moreCall transcripts, summaries and recap emails
Heyline emails a recap after every call — outcome, two-line summary, transcript — and files it in your call log. See what history and audio each plan keeps.
Read moreReturning-caller recognition: greeted by name
Returning-caller recognition greets repeat customers by name, skips the questions she already has answers to, and is on from her very first call.

Intake questions let your AI receptionist ask what a job needs before she books it — one at a time, a set per service, answers in your recap email.

Callers can move or cancel their own appointment by phone. Heyline matches them on caller ID, books the new time under your rules, and emails you the change.

Gas or electric? She asks before she books — one question at a time, never a list.
Read moreMessage taking and to-dos
When the answer isn't in her notes she says so, takes a name and number, and opens a to-do.

Callers move or cancel their own appointment — only the ones booked under the number they're calling from.
Read moreThe voice your callers hear
Fifteen voices, American and British accents, previewed before you choose. She has a first name, and she says she's an AI.

What she never does
Two kinds of never. The rules come first: an unlisted price is one she won't invent, so the caller is offered a free estimate instead. Anything medical, legal or health-safety gets a straight no and a message for you. And if a card number starts coming down the line, she cuts in — payment details are not hers to hold.
A few things she can't do at all: no transfer to your cell, no texts or outbound calls, no calendar but Google, no language but English. She works in the US and Canada.
Frequently asked questions
What does Heyline actually do on a call?
She answers within two rings and opens by saying she's an AI and that the call may be recorded. From there it's one of four endings: a booked appointment read back to the caller, a question answered from your notes, a message taken with a callback number, or a caller who hung up.
Which features are on every plan?
Nearly all of them. Booking into Google Calendar, message taking, intake questions, recognition and transcripts are on all three plans. What changes: call recording starts on Growth, call history is 30 days on Starter, Starter runs one business, and concierge setup is Scale only. Minutes differ too — 200, 500 and 1,500 a month.
What will she never do?
She won't transfer a caller to your cell, send a text, make an outbound call, take payment details, or work with a calendar that isn't Google. She won't quote a price that isn't in her notes, won't give medical or legal advice, and won't state a policy your notes don't cover — she takes a message instead.
Twelve features, one phone call.
Paste your website and put any of them to her yourself — a free browser call, no card.
